Fat. It sneaks up on you, doesn’t it? One day, there’s a little extra padding here, a slight bulge there. Then suddenly, you catch a glimpse in the mirror, or maybe see yourself in a photo, and think, “What happened?”
This isn’t just about looks—excess weight is a gateway to bigger challenges. It affects how we move, how we feel, and even our mental clarity. When you’re carrying extra weight, everything just feels harder. It drains energy, impacts mood, and raises the risks for serious health issues down the road.
But here’s the truth: losing that extra weight is absolutely possible! It’s just that most people don’t understand the science behind how their body burns or stores fat.
In our Freedomology community, we’ve helped thousands flip their body’s “Fat Switch” to fire up their natural metabolism. Shedding pounds should not be your only goal—it’s about reclaiming physical and mental health, feeling lighter and more vibrant every day.
I get it because I’ve been there. Growing up in Northeast Ohio, I was that kid who never stopped moving—sports, outdoor adventures, and endless energy. And boy, did I love those hearty Midwestern meals: roast beef, mashed potatoes drenched in gravy, Italian bread perfect for sopping up sauce, and, of course, apple pie. My metabolism back then was like a well-tuned engine, running on high gear, burning through every meal with ease.
But around age 25, things started changing. My metabolism slowed down, shifting from fifth gear down to second. I was eating the same foods, but a thin layer of fat began to build. Over the next decade, I gained close to 40 pounds. Sound familiar?
After trying a million diets and workout regimens I finally created a routine that stuck and showed me the results I had been looking for. I stopped focusing on intense training and switched my outlook to simply moving everyday. Whether this was strength training or going on a brisk walk, this allowed me to not feel trapped in by an intense unmaintainable schedule.
Incorporating movement every day was great but what really changed my body was prioritizing sleep and what I like to call Carb Fasting. This is the process of alternating between a high and low carbohydrate intake throughout the week. This led me to overall metabolic flexibility. I like to call this turning on your Fat Switch and entering into fat burning mode.
Looking at the big picture my problem was actually simple: I had unknowingly switched into “fat accumulation mode,” rather than “fat-burning mode.” My body was storing, not burning.
Once I tackled this weight head on, I discovered how to turn on fat-burning for good. I never thought I would be able to make a lifestyle change that fit my schedule, was easy enough to follow, and results driven.
If you want to start stepping into a life of energy, confidence, and freedom like I did, I have created a 6-week health program—H/40. Designed to get you the results you’ve been dreaming of for years without the struggle of and stress of ordinary fitness routines.
The foundation of H/40 has changed my life forever and helping others achieve freedom in their health has always been a passion of mine.
